Kaharu Takao studied piano under Toru Kato and Asuka Iino while attending music college.
After graduation, focused on avant-garde music before stepping away from musical activities for a time.
In 2021, driven by a renewed creative impulse, returned to composing.
The music explores the theme of carpe diem—living in the present moment.
Currently working on the album carpe diem, shaping sound to capture the essence of life today.

Why I Compose Music
In recent years, many people have lost their loved ones to pandemics and wars.
I, too, lost someone I deeply respected.
I started composing music because I wanted to leave behind proof that I lived.
Even after I am gone, my works will remain.
Someday, someone I have never met may appreciate my music.
Or perhaps no one will.
No one knows what the future holds.
And I think that uncertainty is beautiful.
As long as I am alive, I will continue to compose music.
